Fees and Fines

Overdue materials are assessed fines according to this schedule:

• Adult materials - 10 cents per day.
• Children's materials - 5 cents per day.
• Rental videos - $1.00 per day.

Materials are considered "lost" if they have remained in overdue status for more than 90 days.  At this point they are moved from "overdue" status to "lost" status, and the full cost of the item is billed to the patron's account.  If the item is returned after the full cost has been billed to the patron's account, the cost of the item is removed from the account and a maximum of $4.00 in overdue charges is then applied.  

If a patron pays for a lost item and later locates the item and returns it to the library, the library will refund the patron's payment.  

A fee of $2.00 is charged to replace a lost library card.

Fees and fines may be paid with cash, money orders, or personal checks.  The library cannot accept credit or debit cards at this time.
