Magic Tree House
Miniature Tree House Contest
Tuesday, January 31, 6:30 p.m.
Recommended for grade school students
Registration required
Make a miniature tree house based on the tree house in theMagic Tree House series. Use things like twigs, twine, grass, moss, wood, glass, recycled plastic, wire, etc. Size should be no more than 12x12x12 inches. Win a free book. Story and refreshments provided.
Cat in the Hat Look-a-Like Contest
A Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration
Tuesday, Feb. 28, 6:30-7:30 pm
Registration required
Children ages 3-12 are invited to come dressed up like Cat in the Hat. A book forbest Cat in the Hat look-a-like will be awarded.
Dr. Seuss stories, guest readers, crafts, games and prizes are planned. Birthday cake and goodie bags provided. Everyone welcome. Bring your camera!
A Taste of Story™

“A Taste of Story” is a specially crafted presentation by storyteller “Chef Nana,” a.k.a. Mrs. Williams. With lots of audience participation, plan to mix up a batch of delicious treats inspired by her favorite stories. You will hear, see,smell and taste a story!
