The Teen (YA-Young Adult ) area of the library contains mostly paperpack fiction materials for teens in grades, 6-12. Books are identified by a "YA" sticker on the spine. Books are arranged in alphabetical order on the shelf by the first two letters of the author's last name or the series. Periodicals, Graphic novels and audiobooks are also located in this area. Older teens may find reading material in the adult section and younger teens may find reading material in the Juvenile section.
For the Library policy for students using the computer, click here. Parental forms are also available at the Library.
Teens are invited to meet at the "Teen Cafe" to enjoy refreshments, do homework, chat, enjoy programs and special speakers in a relaxed atmosphere. Teen Cafe is held one Saturday a month. Visit the Teen Cafe' page for specific dates and times.
The Summer Reading Club is an excellent opportunity to become involved in different activities and volunteering opportunities. Watch the Programs page for dates and time.
Teens wishing to be involved in planning events, YA collection selection, and library related tasks may join the Teen Advisory Council(TAC). For more information, click on the TAC Page.
